Day 14 – Sunday 27/3:

We roused ourselves early today to set off for our overnight stop in Goslar, Germany. We had our final breakfast with Jenny, said our goodbyes and were on the road again (for ~500km).

Goslar is a UNESCO World heritage site due to the high number of old, half timbered, traditional buildings left in the centre.  While Philip caught up with his writings, Patsy and I set out on the town to find a suitable restaurant for our night’s meal. We settled on a 15th centuary pub, next to the old mill, with the mill wheel powered by a stream flowing nearby.

After further exploring this delightful town we again met up with Philip and headed to our restaurant. It was very cosy inside, with a seemingly unchanged interior. We had a traditional German meal of pork schnitzels – probably the best I’ve had, as you’d expect.
